
This week felt like a very normal winter week — full evenings, decent energy, and a strong pull toward comfort food. Nothing complicated, nothing experimental. Just dinners that felt warm, familiar, and manageable after long days.
I enjoy cooking and menu planning, but I also know how much mental energy it takes to decide what’s for dinner every single night. That’s why I share these weekly meal plans. Not because they’re perfect, but because having any plan at all can make the week feel lighter — and if my real-life dinners help someone else skip a few decisions, that feels worth sharing.
This Week’s Dinner Plan
This is our actual dinner plan for the week. Sometimes it’s not fancy, sometimes we eat out, and sometimes dinner gets made up on the fly — but for better or worse, this is what we’re really eating. You’re welcome to take any ideas that help minimize the dreaded “what’s for dinner?” question and leave the rest.
Monday

This makes a ton of leftovers, and the leftovers reheat really well. It’s one of those dinners that feels worth the effort because it quietly pays you back later in the week.

This one’s on repeat for a reason — it’s my daughter’s favorite. I love throwing it in the crockpot earlier in the day and not having to think about dinner again until it’s time to eat.

An intentional low-effort night. Sometimes the most helpful part of a weekly meal plan is deciding ahead of time that you’re not cooking.

Leftovers
Always planned, always appreciated. This is what keeps the week from feeling too full.
Sunday
Super Bowl Sunday – Buffalo Chicken Meatball Subs

These meatballs are so good on their own, and this is the first time I’m putting them into a sandwich — but it just feels right. They’re flavorful without being fussy and perfect for a casual Super Bowl night where dinner needs to feel fun, not stressful.

I share these weekly meal plans because dinner decision fatigue is real. Menu planning takes time, and I completely understand why so many people hate doing it. I happen to love cooking and finding recipes — so instead of keeping my weekly plans to myself, I pass them along. If you’re looking for something new to try, you’re welcome to borrow my ideas.
Most weeks, that looks like curating from recipes I already love and cook from regularly. I really love recipes — old cookbooks, new cookbooks, and the ones saved all over the internet. Sometimes I’ll share an original recipe here, but most of the time I’m pulling together meals from recipe creators I trust, always linking back and giving credit where it’s due.
