No-effort beauty night self-care Sunday featuring eye masks, lip sleeping mask, hand cream, and a cozy book.”

If I’m being honest, most weeks you’re the one making sure everyone else is good before you even think about yourself. Meals, schedules, reminders, feelings — all handled. By the time Sunday night rolls around, your energy is usually hanging on by a thread.

So this is me, as your friend, saying: it’s your turn.

Not in a big, dramatic way. Just in a small, let me take a few minutes and feel a little more comfortable way. This is what my no-effort beauty night looks like lately — nothing fancy, just things I genuinely love and actually use.

Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Under Eye Patches

I use these a couple few times a week — usually when I either look like a zombie or my under-eyes feel like the Sahara desert.

They’re cooling, super hydrating, and one of those products that gives instant relief. I put them on and immediately sit down (or lie down). No standing at the sink. No mirror hovering. Just letting them do their thing while I do absolutely nothing productive.

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask

This one is new for me. I’ve been a Vaseline girl my entire life — it’s always worked, so I never felt the need to branch out.

That said… I’m giving this a try and loving it so far.

I put it on before bed, forget about it completely, and wake up without dry, winter lips being dramatic the next morning. I still believe in Vaseline forever, but this has officially earned a spot on my nightstand.

Aveda Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme

This is a splurge hand cream for me, but winter is not kind to my skin — and my hands need backup.

I put this on every single night before bed. It’s rich, comforting, and makes my hands feel actually cared for instead of temporarily less dry. It’s one of those small routines that quietly signals the day is done.

What I’m Reading Right Now

I’m about three-quarters of the way through Great Big Beautiful Life, and it’s been such a good end-of-day read.

It follows two writers competing to tell the life story of a mysterious, larger-than-life woman with a complicated past. There’s tension, charm, and that classic Emily Henry balance of heart, humor, and depth. It’s layered without being heavy — engaging, but not something that makes your brain work overtime.

So far, I’m really enjoying it. The characters feel real, the story pulls you in, and it’s the kind of book that pairs perfectly with cozy nights and reading a few pages before bed — even if you don’t make it very far before falling asleep.

This is what taking care of myself looks like right now — simple, low-effort, and actually enjoyable. Nothing fancy. Just a few things that make me feel a little more comfortable and a little more like myself.

If you’ve got a go-to product, book, or small ritual that helps you wind down at the end of the week, I’d love to hear about it.
